Fireworks Glow and Flow

Such a fun class! Great instructor (kind, enthusiastic, helpful), quality SUP, and a one of a kind experience to SUP while watching the sun go down...and the fireworks show at the end of class were a bonus.

I had an amazing time with Raya. She was a gracious instructor and very comforting. I have practiced yoga for years but have never taken a class in the water before. I fell in about 3 times but that helped me lose my ego and get comfortable balancing on the board. We got to see the fireworks while on the board and I even got some amazing photos. 10/10 would recommend

My boyfriend was visiting Hawaii for the first time, and he really wanted to try paddleboarding. It was my first time too, but I stumbled upon Yoga Floats online and am really glad I did! Kelsey was a great instructor - she took her time to explain basic safety, about paddleboarding and etiquette of the beach too. She was also really accommodating and supportive (I was nervous to fully stand and stayed on my knees the whole time). She was also a great person overall! We were lucky to have great weather conditions, and her great energy also brought along a lot of great experiences. We saw a turtle pop its head up and a couple of fish flop out of the water too! I really want to check out some of their other offerings too, like stand up yoga and nighttime yoga on Fridays, where you can see the fireworks shortly after!

I had so much fun at the fireworks glow and flow!! I've been wanting to do this for ages and finally talked a friend into coming along. It was so worth it! We met at Ala Moana Magic Island parking which ended up being absolute madness for parking. Word to the wise: park at Ala Moana Center and walk over. Less stressful and you get some exercise. You're welcome. After a bit of intro, my friend and I along with three others walked into the water. Julie, our instructor, lined us all up and we started a beginner flow. Initially I thought "ew beginner....", But it's yoga. So you get what you want to out of it. Everything is modifiable. Each pose could be as basic or as difficult as I wanted. There was something incredibly grounding about the whole process. It was never too serious. Julie did an amazing job, keeping it light and fun. Savasana with my fingers and toes in the warm evening sea was pretty special. Fireworks exploded just after the end of our flow, perfectly timed. We had a bit of time to play with some standing balancing poses too. Overall, I loved this and will be bringing more people when I have visitors that make sense for it. Highly recommend!

Absolutely an amazing experience. Julie was a fantastic instructor, offered a bunch of options for beginners through experienced yogis. I would have gone back again, had I been in Hawaii long enough for another session.

Our instructor Julie was top-notch. She had everything ready and has perfected her remarks as to what to expect--everything you wanted to know and nothing you didn't. The experience was perfectly timed so that we could watch the fireworks afterwards. Julie had a really soothing voice as she walked us through different moves. I never fell in the water but I did fall into a deep sleep that night!

Amazing experience! We attended their evening light up paddle board yoga session and it was so so beautiful! The instructor was awesome and friendly and the class itself was suitable for beginners as well as offering more challenging poses for those who felt ready. We lucked out and our class was also a fireworks night so we got to watch those from our boards after our savasana. My only regret is not being in Hawaii long enough for a second class! Namaste 🙏🏼

Yoga SUP at night with fun LED lights! Definitely recommend! The weather and the ambience was perfect and it was really relaxing to hear the water hitting the boards as you move through different yoga poses. Julie was a really fun teacher and takes great photos too! She helped explain every pose and even gave us modified poses which was great as this was my first time doing yoga on a SUP! I've done both activities separately but never together so this was a great challenge for practicing your balance! Round up all your besties and try this out! It's so fun! You will enjoy it! Next time I will sign up for her Friday class so I can see the fireworks! Plan to arrive 15 min early so you can sign the waiver and prepare to carry your board to the water. Look for the Yoga Floats van in the magic island parking lot. You can't miss it! She usually has the boards all laid out near the van. Also if you have anything you don't want to lose, they will lock it up for you in the van.

As a first timer I would def recommend others to try this. The instructor was informative and helpful. Its peaceful out on the water in the evening, and fun trying something new. Only downside, specific to our experience, was the mix up with the start time. We were there on time waiting and no one was around, only to find that the session was to start later because of the fire works starting later. The fireworks ended up going off at the usual time interrupting the session. Just came across as super disorganised.

I love Yoga Floats! I take SUP yoga classes with them every time we're in Hawaii. I've even taken their SUP yoga / paddleboard instructor training and now teach at my home in Viriginia. Kelsey and her instructors are the best. In our class we had experienced SUP yogis as well as those who had never done yoga before, much less on a board. The instructor was great - teaching a class that could be enjoyed by all levels. The fireworks were amazing and our boards were lit up in the color that we chose. We had great pictures to share with our friends and family. Such a great time. Thank you!
